Welcome to THE Kitchen, formerly known as Senior Citizens Services of North Texas (SCSNT) – the first and longest operating organization for seniors in Wichita Falls, Texas!

We are proud of what we’ve accomplished since our founding in 1967:

• We’ve provided a place for seniors to gather and enjoy fellowship, nutritious food and learn about issues affecting them for more than 44 years
• We prepared, packaged and delivered more than 290,000 hote, nutritious meals to clients of our Meals On Wheels, Red Door, Green Door and Kid’s Meals programs
• We constantly “upgrade” the services we offer by discovering innovative ways to provide nutritious meals and complementary programs such as defensive driving classes, tax preparation help and opportunities for simple health checks such as blood pressure and flu shots
• Through community partnerships we offer education on topics that are important to our clients, such as the signs of a stroke, dealing with Alzheimer’s and learning to improve balance to avoid falls

Over all, THE Kitchen provides a warm place to gather, enjoy a meal and socialize.  Even for our Meals On Wheels clients this is true, the kitchen simply happens to be in their home.
